It's a bit of a joke to have a supposed privacy company and then not have any support for Linux
And to close down the Mastodon account.
and to support Trump
Wait what? I was just about to switch to Proton from gmail to avoid giving oligarchs more money and data?
They really supported the fascists?
And to repeatedly fail to update their github with the latest source code for their mobile apps, and to not have their apps on f-droid, and to not support notifications of any kind on a degoogled android OS, and to not support monero payments, and to add a Zoom button to everyone's calendar by default with no disclaimer about using Zoom, and to limit custom domain aliases.
Not supporting UnifiedPush is also another hilarious oversight.
Not really, it doesn't make business sense to support 2% market share.
Definitely a joke to have a European privacy company that supports republicans and nazis.
The people concerned this much with privacy are certainly less than 2%. They're already in a niche market for the purpose of privacy. Not that much of a leap to support Linux (which by the way is likely higher than 2% of their user base.)
Yes but they also know Linux users will happily evangelize things even when they are shit and missing a bunch of features, so why put in effort?
It makes sense if you expect anyone to believe you support privacy.
They shouldn't expect that after the whole nazi thing.
