When I block an instance, does it also block comments of users of those instances on other instances? (lemmy.world)

It used to stop you from getting notifications of replies but still seeing them.

Now you get replies, which isn't exactly a good thing, if I block a whole instance it's because their users are insufferable

I think those should be two independent features. My main reason for blocking instances is so I can browse All without getting posts in languages I don't understand. If they respond in English to an English post I'd like to see it.
