What are the protocols/powers involved in declaring something a national emergency? Like what decision power does the president gain in that scenario?
EDIT: This site seems to cover a lot of the benefits gained and what protections are in place to limit overreach, but given the current state of affairs I canโt imagine why Congress would reign in the abuse.
The national guard, on the Canadian Border perhaps, nearest the manufacturing and farming corridor of the neighbor he has been openly threatening to annex, in one of the most heavily populated areas in the country with access to be the largest volume of fresh water in the world...
