Fuck any country tbat allows the death penalty, but to be fair, I’d rather go by firing squad than lethal injection or the gas thing.

Firing squad is mostly less used because it looks awful for witnesses, but for the inmate, its probably one of the quickest and most painless ways to go.

If I’m getting executed, I’d rather people have to face the reality of that action, instead of pseudo medicalising it to rid their guilty conscience about killing another human being. Noting that lots of scientists say lethal injection probably causes great pain, but we don’t notice because the medicine paralyses the person before making them unconscious. And that lethal injections have an extremely high botched execution rate.

And that lethal injections have an extremely high botched execution rate.

That's because if someone is a difficult stick you'd need to have advanced skills to actually get a patent IV line and they're incapable of hiring anyone who can do that. The prison nurse isn't going to give up their license to become an executioner to do an ultrasound guided IV. Due to that you end up with extravasated potassium chloride which is essentially like setting someone's limbs on fire.

This stuff was the whole point of developing the guillotine in the first place.
