The underlying cause is they are more emotional driven than the baseline human, I think. We're all emotional, but I feel like some people really let the truthiness gutfeel of emotions rule the day and facts are just not that important to them.
Pick like any of those and you see they had a choice between feelings that make them feel smart or part of an in-group, or facts that made the world clash with their beliefs. And because they're kind of fools and cowards, they go with the feel-good most of the time.
Yeah, it's a fear response, that's why they want the strong man who will fix things and punish 'the elites' and 'the immigrants' and 'the Jews'.
They want to punish the Jews, yet they also back Israel?
Modern antisemites are heavily zionistic. They see Israel as the answer to the Jewish question, and use the backing of Israel to deflect any accusations of antisemitism.
Hitler's initial plan was to send them to Madagascar. They're happy for Israel to exist, and both Zionists and Neo Nazis are fine with making Jews outside of Israel feel very unsafe.
And by "elites," they mean anyone that might be more intelligent than them, and have the gall to use that intelligence for academic or scientific purposes.
Yeah, of course. The actual elites that own all the wealth are with them as long as they make the right noises. There's no guarantees after they've solidified power though.
