Yeah, my cat taps you and plays with claws out. Not clipping them would mean a lot of unnecessary snagging, scratching, and pain that's easily avoided.
Mine keep getting caught on stuff if I don't clip their claws.
Yeah I was gonna say, you probably still should do nail maintenance....
