Apparently the other place is going to start having paid subs “where content creators can monetize their contributions”. It seems like enshittification is finally coming.

oh gees, it was already half unusable what with all the chinese and russian shills
makes sense to protect themselves against Substack and the like though. Always felt like that was eating reddits lunch tbh. cant imagine Shareholders felt any differently about it.
Substack just doesn't have the same "forum" feel though, that's what I miss the most about the old internet. BBSes/vbb/livejournal.
