Magneto has risen.
I've yet to see a reason to not just support magneto over the Professor X. Perhaps I'm just ignorant of comics, but Matneto seems to have a point that the threat to mutantkind is humanity, and mutants have a right to self defense.
I really don't know enough about the comics to say, but I think I heard that he either sometimes supported human eradication or mutant separatism.
The former scenario is probably the only time Professor X looks good in comparison and they might have done that because otherwise Professor X looks shitty.
