A truce was declared for the eagles yesterday. Owls and Eagles have a long, bitter history as they require the same nesting sites. But ultimately, birds must stand together.
In gratitude of your acknowledgement, please accept this most tan egg-like owl.
This is an Elf Owl. It is the smallest owl in the world. It is sort of tannish. Since it is so small, it is prey to many other desert dwellers. It's not a mammal, but it is fluffy and warm. It lives in a somewhat barren environment, the deserts of the American SW and Mexico, where it lives in hollowed out cacti. And best of all for you, it does not eat tan eggs! It is a bug eater, and will much on scorpions all day long.
