That doesn't surprise me. Mind you, a few billion dollars were wiped off the share market in the last 2 days so I'm not surprised there's pushback against this.

Don't get me wrong, the censorship is fucking awful. But I'd still rather use this than chatgpt because I have complete control over the info I enter into it.

I'm fairly certain you can tweak locally run models to remove the censorship, not that I'd know how. It's the models running on servers in China (like from the App) which have to follow Chinese laws around this censorship.

I haven’t played around with these AI chat much or read into them though the censorship does concern me wondering if there’s any misleading information.

I only have access to Gemini because of my work account and only played around with it with nonsense stuff.

What caused the billion dollar wipeout of the market? I haven’t been keeping up too much on it.
