Where's the part that says to mindlessly consume news media and whine about how we are all going to die on social media sites?

Finally something usable instead of "we're cooked".

I joke, but this website is terrible for my mental health. A lot of bad shit is happening, and turning a blind eye is wrong. However, dwelling, doomscrolling, and whining won't do a damn thing. I think I need a break from Lemmy.

i feel you. But i also noticed that mastodon/lemmy etc is a bit less addictive in that regard. so quitting for some time is easier.
