This is the place for discussing the potential collapse of modern civilization and the environment.
Collapse, in this context, refers to the significant loss of an established level or complexity towards a much simpler state. It can occur differently within many areas, orderly or chaotically, and be willing or unwilling. It does not necessarily imply human extinction or a singular, global event. Although, the longer the duration, the more it resembles a ‘decline’ instead of collapse.

I’m not a scientist but it’s not that hard to figure out? All that burned up dead dinosaur energy has to go somewhere and that somewhere is the atmosphere and ocean. The water cycle is speeding up, the jet stream is going faster, storms are getting stronger and more unpredictable, more droughts, forest fires, deforestation as well as catastrophically flooding rains. A lack of snow to hold as a freshwater reservoir and melting permafrost giving off more gases. everything is accelerating and the curve is exponential like a hockey stick.
We’re gonna become Venus. Maybe not in our lifetime but we are already feeling serious consequences and it’s only gonna get worse. I don’t think there’s any tech solution available and our destiny is already baked in.
