2025 started with a bang - not the fun kind though. It was more of a gut punch followed by a baseball bat to the knee. Lets hope things will go up from here.
On the less serious, manga side I learned that Asura’s Dish of the Day, a cute romance manga I've been posting recently was axed early on and has only two more chapters to go. While it wasn't high art I did have fun reading it so it's a rather unfortunate piece of news.
Back to reading the usual stuff, I guess.
Welcome to the life of starting a series early. More often than not it is either axed or the translation team drops it. So many series on Mangadex that I have started now sit without updates in ages. I enjoyed this series, so I hope that they at least finish it up.
I'm aware of this being a possibility, I've been through both multiple times, I just didn't realize this specific series was canceled back in 2021 (I probably wouldn't pick it up if I did). That's why I'm not really worried about the translation at least, scanlators knew what's up and it's only 2 more chapters.
Damn. What happened? ☹️
I think this probably happens to the majority of manga unfortunately. If they don't sell well they get canceled and replaced with something else.
