Crude summary:

Honey removes affiliate links of others when you click search discount code and puts in their own. Even if they found no discount
Businesses can control the discount codes available
Businesses can set max discount percentage for Honey users.
Honey rarely finds the best discount code and does not update their database with best codes even when users enter them.
