I respect the Green Party but if Elizabeth May wants to strengthen the green movement she would go vegan as that would show she was serious about ethics and sustainability.

This is why I support the Animal Protection Party instead. As we need a federal party that focuses on advocating for compassion towards the animals.

~~Elizabeth May should run for a seat in the house. They'd get a lot more done in Congress than they will in a presidential race.___~~

I think you’re confusing Elizabeth May with Jill Stein.

I'm an idiot, this is Canadian politics. Sorry about that.

I just checked her Wikipedia page and was surprised to find that she was born in Connecticut so she could theoretically run for congress.

Though I’m not familiar with the American green party.

It's a shitshow compared to the Canadian green party. I hope the APPoC get the representation they're looking for up there. It's a good cause.

It's a shitshow compared to our green party? Yikes.

They only run in presidential elections and have become the defacto spoiler candidate for the left. They also take money from the right wing and Jill Stein has sought out multiple audiences with Putin which at best makes her naive, at worst it looks like collusion to disrupt US elections.

This is why America needs single transferable ranked choice voting!
