What would you ask our KDE goal champions?

KDE is an international technology team creating user-friendly free and open source software for desktop and portable computing. KDE’s software runs on GNU/Linux, BSD and other operating systems, including Windows.
If you encounter a bug, proceed to https://bugs.kde.org, check whether it has been reported.
If it hasn't, report it yourself.
PLEASE THINK CAREFULLY BEFORE POSTING HERE.
Developers do not look for reports on social media, so they will not see it and all it does is clutter up the feed.

Q: What is the state of #Rust bindings? How well developed are solutions like cxx-qt? Any good examples of KDE Qt6 apps written Rust to use as references?
@me @kde@floss.social @kde@lemmy.kde.social It's early but promising.
cxx-qt
is pretty decent andcxx-kde-frameworks
based on cxx-qt is in incubation/development.@me @kde@floss.social @kde@lemmy.kde.social Creating simple apps is straightforward. Since bindings are in progress, it requires manual bridging but eventually it should allow you to write Pure rust apps without ever touching c++. A simple drop-in crate!
