Lauren and I interacted on Threads, where she stumbled upon some of my posts from #TheFutureIsFederated and became curious about the #Fediverse (please Lauren correct me if I'm wrong).

Well, earlier this week Lauren joined #Mastodon 🥳

It always gives me a warm fuzzy feeling when I see someone climb over the walled gardens of Big Tech platforms to explore the Fediverse.

@laurenlopes@mastodon.social I'm not sure about that.

But the Fediverse is really all about building genuine connections (as opposed to growing followers / vanity metrics) so I wouldn't worry about that
