Lol! Never had that kind of call centre job ๐ just have 2 dead PC's, one alive PC, and a modem/router that I've troubleshooted since 2010 haha. Just an amateur nerd type. I couldn't tell you what settings in the router need to be, but I know you can access it ๐
One time, at my last job, a customer said 'rooter', and I thought 'wtf are you saying right now?!'. Took me a hot minute to realise she meant 'router'.
Who says 'rooter'!? I died after the call ๐๐ญ
I believe the rest of the world calls it a 'rooter', we have different pronunciation here due to pre-existing slang. I've had a couple of interesting convos with American colleagues in former jobs.
