Actually meeting a friend for dinner tomorrow who had top surgery after having already had a career, a spouse, children, a divorce and transition into stable co-parenting (kind of a joke since friend bought a house right next to a ranch when they moved out here) and an entirely different career.
You'll have more and less on your plate over time, but there's never gonna be a more opportune time than right now to start living openly (provided you're in a support structure and environment where you can do so safely)
I guess I should have termed it as a support network that won't actively ruin your life for coming out.
On the one hand living closeted sucks, but on the other hand, taking away the bigot's right to say no is pretty rad if you can handle it until you've established independence and can come out with both birds raised.
