I like the idea of certain features, like “focus filters”, but it’s difficult finding apps that utilize it. I get that not many will, but it seems like it’d be easy to miss useful/neat apps.

Since the big iOS 17 update I’ve noticed that text selection is a real nightmare. As in, if I make a spelling error it will identify it with the red underscore, but clicking on the word or long pressing does everything but select the word.

It’s just shit now to navigate around text editing in general. Anyone else noticing this?

Apologies if this isn't the best place to post this...

I'm not able to receive phone calls anymore after updating to iOS17. My friend told me that they tried calling me 4 times and got a busy signal every time. I told them that my phone never rang (which is true) but, when I went to my missed calls, it shows 4 missed calls from them. I asked them to call me again (while I was looking at my phone) and the notification banner for the call comes in for a split second but is "greyed out" and says their name and then "User busy" before disappearing.

I've restarted my phone, checked to make sure I didn't accidentally block them, added them to my Favorites, and even had someone else try to call me and all result in the same thing. My computer rings via FaceTime when some people call me but it seems like my phone won't ring at all and everyone just gets a busy signal.

Any ideas? Anyone else getting this after the update? I've searched for a while now but every reference to "User busy" is old and just says something to the effect of "restart your phone" or "change your settings to allow unknown/junk callers". This isn't either of those things, though.

I’ve only participated in the public beta once…during Covid. I would love to, but I’m an IT manager and need the phone for real work.

Doesn’t mean that I don’t have that “ itch” though. 😂

What can be the reason that an iPhone SE 3rd gen. loses battery power significantly over night when it is completely shut down? The flight mode was activated before the shutdown. The device is brand new, battery capacity and health is on 100%, no background tasks are allowed. It is a replacement for the same model, which had the exact problem some weeks ago.

I used to constantly switch phones, splurging on high end handsets and then having to sell because i needed the money.

Currently have an iphone 12 pro since launch, and will almost be 3 years soon, battery health still at 88%

Hi! I currently own an iPhone 8. It's treated me right for a long time. I really value a smaller phone size and don't know how much I will like having a larger phone in my pocket, especially on bike rides or while being active. Since Apple announced future updates won't support the model, I am looking at upgrading this year to a 15 or next year to an SE. Thoughts?

Has anyone running the iOS 17 beta turned on this feature? I am curious to hear what your experience has been if you have.

I did for a bit and got tired of it real quick. LOL.

Seems you won't be able to use your Apple Card to buy iPhones if you're not getting it with a carrier connection. :(
