According to reports, Apple will not market the foldable iPhone as a separate niche. Instead, the company apparently plans to sell the phone as the next top-end variant, taking the place of the Pro Max models.

Interesting move imo, most other foldy phone companies afaik have positioned their foldy's as adjacent to their top end phones.

According to numerous reports, the reason Apple waited so long to make a foldable smartphone is because it wanted it to have an invisible crease. If the company has been able to manage that, then its phone definitely has a much stronger chance against its rivals.

Once again, Android comes up with a neat feature and Apple comes in to refine it and popularize it lol

As long as apple doesn't drop the ball somehow, this could really ignite the foldable market and finally make them a good bit cheaper and better

The designer of the iPhone has promised his next artificial intelligence-enabled device will be driven by a sense that “humanity deserves better”, after admitting feeling “responsibility” for some of the negative consequences of modern technology.

Sir Jony Ive said his new partnership with OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT, would renew his optimism about technology, amid widespread concerns about the impact of smartphones and social media.

In an interview with the Financial Times, London-born Ive declined to give details about the device he is developing with OpenAI, but indicated unease about people’s relationship with some tech products.

In truth, there's still a lot we don't know about the iPhone Fold, but there's one rumor that is really concerning. According to a recent report from a known source, Apple's foldable phone could cost between $2,100 and $2,300 at release.

Now, to be fair, it can be a bit tricky to gauge the right price for a foldable phone, as the costs run the gamut. For instance, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 cost $1,899 at release, while the OnePlus Open cost $1,699.
