It’s not an Apple thing. The infrastructure tied to the providers and to peering with Google needs to support it too.

Moronic clickbait. Betas are not finished and do not necessarily represent the final product. That’s almost the whole point of a beta.

The whole green bubble/blue bubble stuff was such a contrived story to begin with. iMessage is only popular in the US and Apple's RCS integration was pushed by the Chinese government who want their carriers to support it.

Unencrypted RCS is still better than SMS, right? I hope they figure the encryption situation soon, but at least SMS is pretty much gone.
