Given the issues surrounding .ml domains, I'm moving over to blahaj zone. This is a move I had been thinking about for some time, given lemmy.ml's focus on FOSS. Feel free to subscribe over at !adversaria@sopuli.xyz

I will most likely be re-posting what I've posted here, there as well since there is not much and I would prefer to keep everything as together as possible

Fantastic resource for papers in the fields of: physics, mathematics, computer science, quantitative biology, quantitative finance, statistics, electrical engineering and systems science, and economics - even for people not in these fields though obviously these articles can be quite technical.

Pffffft. Only 27? I’ve maxed my allowed tabs on my phone browser several timed over, let alone my computer browser.

Also. Firefox >>> Chrome.

Fantastic! I really hope you like it :)

And yes it is! !idlehands@lemmy.ml

I also have a few posts on there in my post history, if that’s easier to navigate to!

Yep you can! I have a set on my wrist right now, in fact. Some styles can be very clunky and annoying (esp with the tassels, which are needed to be able to slide the closing bead down to slip it off your wrist and give you slinging room) but if you shop around a little I’m sure you’ll find something that works for you.

I personally never go anywhere without arounsquare’s nano mkultra set - pricey, but I’ve definitely gotten my moneys worth. You can see them in a few of my other posts on here. I also got a great set from workshopfidgets on etsy, similar to this set here. There’s also loads of other great sets on etsy, and the internet in general!

Sorry if this was long, I’m just very passionate about skill toys and fidgets of all kinds - hence having the ‘idle hands’ community here haha

Oh awesome, I already deal with sleep paralysis on a semi-regular basis, now you’re telling me there’s yet another thing to worry about? 😭

Borderlands 2, combined across systems I have over 1k hours

Komboloi might be up your alley. They’re more skill toys than fidgets, but it’s still something to do with your hands

That image makes them even more frightening looking...

Very cool though. It's astounding how it's simultaneously not that long ago that this was, how long it took for humans to have the collective knowledgebase for this to happen, and how exponentially far we've come since then.

Yeah it would be really great to be able to make a temporary filter, like I'd love to be able to have my homepage without any content from Memes without having to unsubscribe

100%. I use a third party app called Nintype which actually lets you two-thumb swipe type - to my knowledge the only one that has this as a feature. It's so so much faster than single thumb swiping and peck typing once you get used to it. Sadly it's been abandoned by the dev, so I'll be gutted when whatever iOS version decides Nintype is too old and no longer supported

Stunning photo. This is so interesting!

I did search and wasn't coming up with anything, so forgive me if this has been asked before

On the lemmy homepage on the right side, there's the subscribed communities tab - is there a limit to how many are shown there? Reddit had a maximum for subscribed subreddits, which was increased slightly if you had gold. I'm wondering if lemmy has a similar limitation (beyond 'yes there has to be some limit otherwise things break') and if so, where can you see a list of everything you're subscribed to? Does this vary from instance to instance, as in does the lemmy software allow for different instances to customise how many communities appear there?

For context I have lemmy.ml, lemmy.world, and vlemmy.net (maybe rip :( ?) accounts

Thanks for any help!
