never, unless you count stick figures when i was a child

sucking at something is the first step to getting sorta good at something

i already have a tablet i use for watching videos and taking notes, and have wanted to get into doing art. so, i installed krita in the hopes of eventually getting some of the rare bursts of inspiration from my mind into a visual form.

just been messing around with learning the program, and i am fascinated with the fact that a few simple lines can translate into something that's actually recognizable. no idea where this piece is going to go and end up at, but hopefully i will stick with it

just finishing Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson. it's definitely taken me a lot longer than i would have liked, but between moving to a new city, a new job, and other hobbies/interests, it's taken me a month and a half

going through some sci-fi i've been wanting to read for a while, so next is either Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, Project Hail Mary, or There is no Antimemetics Division

holy shit this bot is a godsend for all those who don't know what half these acronyms are

thanks for the advice! i usually shoot jpeg and don't mess with post processing, but i might have to try it out!

saw @tanisnikana@lemmy.world's photo here yesterday and i'm still pretty new to the city so it's nice finding new places to visit. i happened to wake up early for whatever reason this morning and decided to check it out, and it really is a nice view. any other spots to check out would be appreciated!

i'm not a professional photographer by any means, but i do want to get better, so i'm trying to take my camera with me whenever i can. out of ~80 pictures, there were only a few that ended up somewhat decent lol

even before the link loaded i knew the video. he's made a few of these and i love them all
