I’ve been trying to be more honest with myself about how I use my phone. Not in a strict way, just noticing how easily a few minutes turn into an hour without really meaning to.

I tried setting limits, being more disciplined, but it didn’t change much. It just made me realize how automatic it all is. So I started doing something simpler.

One hour a day without my phone. No notifications, no checking anything.

The first few days were surprisingly uncomfortable. Not boredom exactly, more like a constant urge to reach for something. But after a while, that hour started to feel different. Quieter, more intentional, like a small part of the day actually belongs to me again.

I ended up building something small around this idea just to keep it consistent. It’s more like a daily commitment than an app.

I am curious how others approach this.
