Title is vague on purpose, as I personally enjoy finding my own interpretations in other people's work, and I wanted to leave that space open as well.
Initially, I was drawn to the symmetry and quietness of these spaces and moments. But for me, these places felt lived in and purposeful in the past. On a quiet, empty day, there's a sense of ghosts, echoes of former activity.
It's been a quieter time photographically, so I gathered some earlier black & white work into a photo essay called Echoes.
A different vibe than usual - gloomy, industrial, dilapidated - but it felt right.
Greater cold - Dahan in Chinese, Daikan in Japanese. Every breath hangs in the air as snow clings to the branches.
I tried to capture that moment during my recent walk.
At the threshold - a small, spontaneous photo essay made without leaving my apartment.
Cold, distant fragments of the outside.
Warm, abstract moments inside.
