There was largely a trade between parties instead of between sides of the political spectrum.

I usually think of first past the post as a system where you're voting to keep someone out, not voting to get someone in.

I think tactical voting is the only way, and we should be promoting that as much as possible.

Forward Democracy us the best source of tactical voting advice in my opinion. I think that as "the tactical vote" becomes increasingly known and targeting by parties, we will see a lot of misinformation in this area to try and confuse people to vote for the wrong tactical choice.

I agree, very off putting. Hence why it's important we listen to independent advice, not the parties themselves

You're exactly right, which is why we have to be so careful. I think we're going to see a big increase in that kind of thing, especially around the next general election - as parties who suffer from tactical voting attempt to muddy the water

Yeah it still looks like most of the seats aren't showing advice. I'm hoping they do have them all by tomorrow, but I guess they might not have the resources to do literally every seat.

I had a pretty good idea of what the tactical vote would be in my area, but fortunately it became available on the site before I sent my postal vote anyway.

Hi!

Tactical voting in the UK has been commanding increased attention in the last few years. It appears that the "tactical vote" is now a target by political parties, in a similar way to how they target other demographics / groups. During the Gorton and Denton by election - we saw three separate parties appealling to the tactical voter, claiming that they were the tactical choice.

It is therefore important to be aware of a potential increase in false tactical information.

Furthermore, there is a recent push to provide tactical voting advice for every election, including tomorrow's local elections - something which hasn't really been done in the past.

I just wanted to share what I consider to be the best resource for finding accurate tactics voting advice. Cheers!
