You say that, but I suspect a good bit of your financial data is stored on them. If AWS is down, that information is not accessible even by your financial institution.
Sure, but the site handling your 401k only exists in AWS along with the database handling your balance.
Sure it can. There is a setting in codex to allow it to take over your computer. It doesn't spread to other PCs, but it certainly can take it over.
I let it commit a crime? Do you think I can think as fast as a computer? It can write code far faster than I can read it. And it's also a bold assumption that I would be able to see what the computer is doing in the first place considering OpenAI themselves did not during the hack on hugging face.
This sounds like shirking the responsibility. It's not on openai for building a bot that would hack something, it's on the developer who asked it a problem that it decided to hack to solve it? If they didn't specifically tell it to hack someone, how is it the person's fault?
For example, if I asked AI to make me money on the stock market and it hacked the stock market rather than look for good stocks, why is that my fault?

Totally fair. I'm in a similar boat on family. I'm going to reach the age soon where it's no longer a realistic option for me to change my mind on. But I've seen it go sideways enough not to want it and I like my current situation.
That be said, human contact is important. Even if that means working retail like Lowes or Home Depot on the weekend just to push you to interact with people. Or if you prefer, there are plenty of communities out there whether that be religion, book clubs, or even the freemason's for that matter. I have a few family members in that. Communities that support you. It's been rough working from home the last few years with minimal human contact.

Between Democrats and Republicans, which one has the ideology of small government? Not what they do, what is the official rhetoric? I have never in my life heard that be a Democrat position but I have certainly heard it as a Republican position.
Not that it matters, I'm sure I could find a different example if what I said doesn't make sense unless it's an ideology you accept as Republican.

They would have been in trouble without a secondary off-site backup. You have more faith than I do that other such companies would have as good of backups.
