they didn't say in the United States. they said "in the states from where the attack started". the attacks on Iran are being staged from US military bases in the gulf states. you're viewing this from a US-centric position and assume when people speak of states, they are referring to the United States. every nation is a state, the word doesn't even imply Western. in this instance Iran is clearly and obviously referring to West Asian states.

Iran has been a front in the power struggles of Imperial forces for around 200 years now. they know the Empires surrounding them aren't going to ever stop trying to interfere in their affairs. the exact players might have changed over the years, but the game never has.

you: I don't think it's reasonable to say they would destroy all infrastructure

I am seriously skeptical that that is a real gun that could fire without exploding, let alone you being able to hang on to it if it didn't. you're certainly not getting more than a couple shots max out of that before it and your hand is a mangled mess.

what I meant was that so many YouTubers end up being huge creeps. how many times has a YouTuber been accused of sexually assaulting someone, especially a minor? I don't think we have enough fingers between the two of us to count. just because something clicks doesn't mean the relationship isn't problematic.

Didn't he meet his partner because she was a fan or something? I think that's the only story I've heard of a fan getting into a relationship with a YouTuber and it not ending up in the news as a cautionary tale.
