  1. Let me tell you what the breaking point actually was: I only ever really had to restart for updates which I would push back until a monthly schedule. Last time I tried to update, though, the update actually failed, so I wasted not just 1 hr 40 minutes but multiple days of work.

  2. Yeah, actually, it's got the ability to create perspective rulers with snapping, and you can import custom and rigged FBX models which align to the chosen perspective. It's also got a timeline for animation. It also has a Comic Panel creation tool that renders layers in an adjustable box which saves a little bit of time compared to manually redrawing lines and filling the outside.

Yeah, fuck em. Every slopper is betraying trust of everyone around them for short term satisfaction that comes from a shitbot agreeing with everything you say and doing your work for you (even if it fails).

If it worries you that much and you don't have time to search your AUR packages one at a time, you could always run yay -R $(pacman -Qmq) to remove them all at once.

I've proven the massive error and vulnerability rate of slopping, so until you can prove any other example was worse then the point stands. And Ox is very much a reliable source with the findings on the page regardless of if you can access the full study.

I always check with my contract lawyer before installing or updating from the AUR. It's worth it for me.

I miss the browser, but luckily I haven't played RS since the new CEO cancelled new Pride Events right after the Trump Admin was reelected.

Yeah, it seems like these sort of problems aren't necesarily due to an insecure system like the AUR but moreso because of the target's publicity and popularity which is definitely the case with the rise of CachyOS.

I think the problem with Sloppers posting shit like this is that they're constantly reassured with positive reinforcement from their shitbots. I used to think it was only corporate propaganda but now I'm convinced there is a subset of people who are just this fuckin stupid.

Not only was it a consistent issue on my Windows 10 LTSC but I had the same problem on my Windows 7 copy before that with no software or hardware in common between the two. If you search this issue online it's a very common issue and the reccomended fix is to Reinstall Everything from scratch.

THE WORKAROUND: Never ever restard. Send into Hibernation which saves the RAM into a drive and then turns the power off.

I need it for my work, though. As I mentioned, Clip Studio Paint does not build for Linux, it must be run in Wine, such as a Bottles app, which barely works at all and definitely didn't work until just a short while ago.

A long time ago I lived in Denver but right now I live between Nowhere and Limbo and the closest UNI doesn't offer a comp sci degree or such.

I'm not real clear on if this is the case but you could try:

  1. Have you installed or updated from the AUR before, such as with Yay? Specifically after June 5th? If so, check this list or the post above for a list of compromised packages. https://gr.ht/aur_pkg_list.txt

  2. Maybe pacman -Q | grep atomic-lockfile because that appears to be what the threat actor is installing but I'm not really sure if that's how it works...?

I tend to be a little antsy around anti-capitalists. Too many bad run-ins with Tankies.
