What the fuck is Scotland doing wrong?

https://www.essex.gov.uk/news/2024/three-new-schools-open-start-autumn-term

Three new primary schools for £31m within a short commute of London.

63/10.3 = 6 Primary schools.

...and based on your reply that education is sorely needed.

Or about 3,500 small but very deadly drones (UK made of course)

If you cherry pick a badly run upgrade to a run-down hospital in the middle of a city as an example then of course the numbers will be high. If (like me) you choose a badly needed community hospital in a more remote and deprived area then £30m is easily enough.

I don't want a penny of my taxes going on these particular elections since it is a massive waste and your flawed logic isn't going to convince me otherwise.

Interesting to see what happens when people vaguely competent are running the show, isn't it?

Absolutely, for the low, low price of two new hospitals and a new primary school some more people get to join the grift train for a few months before the council they are elected to ceases to exist. Worth it.

A good article as ever by the Secret Barrister.

I do think though, that TSB faith in Judges, CPS lawyers, Barristers, to accept even miniscule changes to the current status quo is misplaced. They are very entrenched in their ways and resist change.

Part of me wonders whether the sledgehammer approach is intended to shake them out of their inertia so they might accept actual pragmatic changes to the system.

Or not guilty. The jury failed to reach a verdict which means the should be re-tried.

I'm sorry you feel that way. Here is a link to some resources about healthy internet habits: https://saferinternet.org.uk/

Be well.

I wasn't in court so I can't know what evidence was put forward and I wasn't in the jury so I can't know what they decided. According to the article they can be re tried and the mand who attacked the woman with a hammer is still in jail awaiting trial so there is hope of justice yet.

I would hope the guard is also subject to a rigorous investigation and charged if an offence has been committed.

You seem very extreme in your views, perhaps you should take an internet break to find yourself a sense of perspective.
