What’s really going on:
The American Democrats were doing two things, one that would stalemate or defeat Russia in the short-term, and one that would in a roundabout sort of manner defeat Russia in the long-term.
As Russia said, Russia was pissed about NATO, first and foremost. They even said that basically that’s what taking Crimea and Ukraine was about- it was strategic expansion in seizing more port access through the Black Sea, but also about succeeding in an incursion on the rest of the world anywhere NATO wasn’t- in essence a success against NATO cause it flew in their face- one of the only places that wasn’t in NATO but should’ve been, and probably would’ve been soon, which would’ve formed one of the last close-ins of Russia from their western, cosmopolitan, Rurope-facing side. The side they have always seen as their battlefront against Europe. As NATO closed in on them with a blanket, Russia punched out against the last spot where the blanket wasn’t.
Russia’s all about defeating NATO. They see it as the world being against them. If there wasn’t NATO, they’d be pushing around smaller states just like they used to, taking ‘em over one at a time, outward, or at distance. They’d be putting back together the old Soviet Empire. Putin always loved it; he grew up in it. He’s repairing the youth he knew by restoring it.
Or trying to.
So then two things happened that were amazing:
The American Democrats stood up and fought. All the way from America, Biden led the world in an external war that went on around Ukraine. He led the world in cutting off Russian banking, sending weapons to Ukraine, stealing oligarch yachts. With their banking cut off, weapons getting sent to Ukraine, and their oligarchs getting defunded and disrespected, all by a coalition of world allies- eventually there would’ve been a drain in Russian resources.
But that wasn’t the worst part if you think about it. The Americans were also leading the world in finally doing something about climate damage. It was the first time. It had just come up. Scientists gave the warning, as they had been for years, but this time, louder; the U.S. led the world, finally, in responding. Everyone signed the Paris Accords. Everyone agreed to team up and do it. The U.S. started really doing green energy; they began the commitment. It was just starting. The other countries were all gonna do it too. China was really excited about it.
Russia only sells gasoline. That is the only thing they do. Beside the Russian mob exporting drugs and doing child & female trafficking, there is no Russian export beside oil. They are a society left out in the cold most of the time and repressed through centuries of oppression, first monarchical then gangster-communist (Stalin was a gangster who realized Marxist communism could destroy governments and then be used to control people afterward).
Anyway, Russia only sells gasoline; it’s their only national export.
With the U.S. leading the world in signing up to control climate damage and then switching green, Russia would’ve been “left out in the cold” as a whole, permanently. A total destruction of Russia. No gasoline buyers in the major parts of the world anymore, and quickly, because we were moving with the enthusiasm of saving the world.
So Putin used Trump to destroy the American Democratic party, to get them to stop fighting Russia in Ukraine, and Putin used Trump to destroy environmentalism, just when the world needed it, because Russia was concerned about selling gasoline and its own longevity.
Putin said look, I hate the Democrats, you hate the Democrats; I know how to take over countries and change their elections. I would love to do it in the U.S.; I just need someone to let me through the door. I’ll give you a lot of money, I’ll make you the leader again. And Trump said okay.

(comment i made to someone who said 'if thats what russia wanted, they wouldve invaded during the first trump election) his first term was before ukraine and the IRA and the summers of '22/23, world's hottest, with lots of wildfires (canada), european heatwave deaths (greece, 60,000, more than gaza death toll). everything was starting to get serious in terms of the world fighting russia out of ukraine and fighting climate damage, mostly by switching off oil. then the gaza war happened and most people forgot. https://www.nature.com/articles/s41591-023-02419-z and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2022_heat_waves and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2023_Canadian_wildfires also though if you remember there were lots of allegations of russian involvement, back and forth, in that election, so russia had its eye on our elections then too and theres lots of reports and accusations of trump having links with the russian mob and/or government going back. keep in mind he was doing real estate in manhattan in the 70s/80s? when russian mob ran some of the streets, and they always have an interest in real estate owners cause you can launder money and do other things that way, and trump struggled often to make payments for his hotels. theres a book called collusion about russia having blackmail ability on trump for him doing lewd stuff in a russian hotel room and them videotaping it. i think those people are missing it though who reported that stuff; i think trump's straight up voluntarily involved with them. hes basically a gangster who likes to do whatever he wants behind the scenes and thats how the russian oligarch lifestyle is too. theyre into the little girls and the luxury and all of it. he fits right in with them; i think theyre partners. look at trump's agenda. none of it makes sense except for doing a big long term russian takeover. doesnt make sense to cancel green power; it was already paid for and trump otherwise admits we need all the power generation we can get. he couldve allowed those and increased oil. his destruction of the green stuff is a giveaway. tariffs are about cutting off the u.s. from its international trade partners, which was part of what made us strong before and how we could enjoy cheap stuff in the u.s. from other countries. insulting every other leader in the world is also about cutting the u.s. off. you cut a country off before you close in on it. read the links i provided, itll definitely take you a few hours but its worth it. most people have never heard of what russia really does. this is how they got all the satellite states. theyre pros at taking countries over. theyve never really tried it in the u.s. before, but suddenly biden gave them an incentive and trump handed them the opportunity and the republicans were told all kinds of stuff that they wanted to hear and for everything they heard that didnt make sense, they said hes joking, then when he did it they said i guess its 5d chess. and it continues like that.
