Aside from a better name that SwitchU?

I loaded up on my Switch for the first time in what feels like a year, and as much as I loved it, it feels as old as it is. What do you want to see from Nintendo with regards to their next console? What launch lineup would you like to see? And do you think we'll see them reinvent the wheel with regards to the hybrid console, or will we just get a more powerful console?

I haven't touched my switch in months. It just doesn't interest me any more, I think that's down to it being rather under powered. You can tell others feel the same because they're always shouting for a Switch Pro.

Ironically, I've taken possession of my kids old 3DS and I'm loving it. The 3D gimmick is really good and I'm enjoying some Zelda and Metroid.

What are Nintendo doing next? No idea. ๐Ÿ˜† It's got to be more powerful but are they really going to compete with the Steamdeck market. Also, are there any gimmicks left to make it stand out?

Super Mario 3D Land. Underrated Mario title that I think everyone should play.

I'll add it to my list. Cheers.

I'm not sure what sort of gimmick-that-works they'll pull off next, but I do feel that Nintendo risks losing a lot of market share if they just try to compete on hardware specs. The Steam Deck and competitors have really upped the qualityy of games you can play in the hybrid handheld space.

I also think Nintendo sometimes does weird stuff because it makes sense for it's brand. So I am hoping that we get something unique again.

Hopefully we'll get an old-style Zelda game in the future. I miss everything that made Zelda games a Zelda game prior to Breath of the Wild. The new ones are fun, but I would consider them a different genre.

Don't disagree about the Zelda stuff. I enjoyed my time with BotW but when I loaded up TotK I almost immediately lost interest. Those games are great, don't get me wrong...but Its not what I want from a Zelda game.
