I’ll take “Things That Need Butter” for $500, Alex.

Disagree, generally. But I get it.

Far be it from me to judge a book by its cover, but the way this is plated makes the cutting board look like the most appetizing item here.

My goodness that made me laugh way too hard 🤣

Needs butter or a sauce to finish it off. Can't have the bread or potato just dry.

A sauce or butter can overshadow the flavor of the actual food items. Sometimes I like things just clean. Especially a good sourdough.

Though I did end up with a bit of sour cream for the potato. Don't tell nobody.

Cultured butter on sourdough

Tell me everything about it.

Get a good salted cultured butter (or make your own, it isn't that hard), spread it on freshly baked slice of sourdough bread. Enjoy your ascent to heaven.

6/10 (-3 because you at least need some jus)
