I’m not hardware minded so just genuinely curious after recently building my pc. But with so many cables going about the place, what technical limitations exist for us to just have one cable powering the mobo and that in turn powering all other components, just like how it works with RAM?

I’m dumb but this sort of shit keeps me up at night.
