Glad to see studios giving this scrappy young actor a chance

Honestly wtf is Microsoft doing with the Minecraft brand???
With all those Spin-offs and now a movie it feels like they're just throwing shit at the wall

I laughed so hard at the headline. WTF is a Minecraft movie going to be about?

[–] LiveLM@lemmy.zip 5 points 2 years ago

Maybe it'll follow the plot from the Telltale spin-off. I'm really not sure.

Why fix the plethora of bugs in Bedrock edition when you could just release a watered down ARPG with a weak story and no endgame content?

They absolutely are. Their buying spree is about how they can exploit IP until its worthless then they drop it.

Everything under microsoft will become squeezed to death for profit.

Based on this headline alone, I would pitch Jack Black being Sword Art Online'd into a coastal woodland that looks exactly like real life but works exactly like Minecraft. Presumably with KG as "the player," a disembodied godlike voice he can talk to, when it feels like it.

See classic post about Jack Black fitting any scenario.
