Not exactly but I have always been somewhat fascinated by the conceptualisation of capital has as living entity that spans continents and has a will to consume and grow. I don't believe in it, because it inverts the agency, but it's still cool to think about how an idea like this can be used in fictional works.

i always understood the xenomorph in alien as the personification of capital. an unstoppable monster that will go to the depths of space to keep its hunger for conquest.
