Has anyone noticed the VPN disconnecting when charging the phone? Using IVPN, but I saw reports of Proton VPN too.

Happens every time. The VPN app has all permissions and unrestricted battery use.

I can't enable "Always On VPN" because Android Auto needs the split bypass, and breaks if that is enabled.

Never saw that with Mullvad, and I have the VPN "always enabled and blocking if blocking if disabled." Android Auto works fine too.

yeah, I tried it again today and the always on vpn seems to work with AA now, maybe I needed a reboot or something when I tried a few days ago. The VPN disconnecting while charging is still a thing though...

One way you could avoid this is using WG Tunnel https://www.wgtunnel.com/

You can turn on Always on VPN, import Wireguard Profiles and setup split tunneling.

I split tunnel with it and use Android Auto (Begrudgingly...)
