I put the beta in a separate volume on my M2 Air so as to not mess up my Sequoia install. Played with it for a few days and it was... fine.

Went back to Sequoia because I still don't like the new design language, and Sequoia works fine for me for now.

No. I want to but I'm really having difficulty getting the appearance to be as legible as Sequoia. Dark mode is too dark and light mode is too light. It also bugs me that the new folder colors are layered on top of the old lighter blue color (you can see it when changing colors). This is all on a M4 Mac Mini.

If I can't make this work for my old eyes, I'll likely sign off as a Mac user after 25 years. I'm finding Fedora Linux w/ KDE to be pretty appealing.

Only been a day so far but it’s a damn sight better than Tahoe.

My only real gripe so far is that I typically use Spotlight a lot for starting web searches and the new Siri keeps getting in the way.

My first experience after updating my work MacBook today was my external monitor breaking 🙃 I spent quite a bit of time trying to diagnose this before finding out it’s a semi-known bug if coming from a dock. Thankfully I use a Pro so I have one last USB port to spare to make up for this annoying bug.

Pretty annoying going from working to not after an update. I thought it was permissions or something else at first.

But I updated my personal MacBook yesterday and haven’t noticed a ton of differences. I like the more shiny, 3D look to the window icons and more glass customization. I like having more glass and it’ll be nice for others who don’t want it to tone down the glass look. The icons are different but I can’t put my finger what changed. They just seem a bit darker like shaded.

I hate the new Macintosh HD icon. What is it supposed to be? It used to actually resemble a hard drive. I’m probably alone because I doubt many others have this on their desktop like I do.
