Does SCP count?
If so, it's SCP-8980. Just read the content warning before reading.
There is seriously no other story that has ever punched my gut as much as this one.
Talk about whatever, respecting the rules established by Lemmygrad. Failing to comply with the rules will grant you a few warnings, insisting on breaking them will grant you a beautiful shiny banwall.
A community for comrades to chat and talk about whatever doesn't fit other communities

This shit made my chest tight. Every part of those ending documents was just another gut punch.
I know right? I read this once and I never had the stomach to read it again.
I used to, but I couldn't tell you a definite favorite. I could tell you the ones I ironically enjoy because I think they're absolutely hilarious. Those being Jeff The Killer and Slender Man, both were a part of my childhood and now I find them extremely funny.
If I were to say one that I remember pretty well fondly, it'd be Anansi's Goatman Story. I just enjoy the implications of the "monster" and the different interpretations about it. Another one I remember starting well but kinda falling flat was "1999".
Sorry if I went on for too long, these stories are all just a bit nostalgic for me. I really enjoy the development and tropes of internet horror, both because of my own childhood fascination and also because I just find the proliferation of tropes to be interesting in how they change over time.
I could probably talk for more than an hour about different childhood creepypastas, cryptids, and ghost stories. What may seem Surprising for comrades here is, although I'm not a particularly strong believer in supernatural occurrences, I absolutely adore reading the stories and conspiracies.
This is my second apology for gushing about this nonsense.
I read Ben Drowned back in the day
I am not an avid reader of Creepypasta, but I thought this one was decent.
creepypastas...it's been a long time. like someone else in the comments, the most recent thing i've read that could qualify are SCPs or a youtube video talking about barney being an alien that eats children's imagination
I don't anymore, but back probably 15 years ago, I went down the rabbit hole of creepy things on Reddit. Here's a comment I saved from way back then that linked a bunch of posts: https://www.reddit.com/r/AskReddit/comments/5msqx7/whats_the_creepiest_true_story_that_happened_to/dc7gsp2/?context=3

I do love a good SCP.
Especially when I was younger I basically soaked up every creepypasta I found.
That ain't creepypasta, that's quality literature. /j
Love me some SCP though.
There's also Minecraft ARGs. My favorite one is from OneShef. It's very leaned towards comedy, but it still has its scary moments.
It's pretty hard to find a decent Minecraft creepypasta nowadays.
Wow, thanks for the blast from the past. I started my writing career on Creepypasta Wiki and SCP back in the day, so I might be biased in saying that mine are among my favorite.
Though, while one of the better known options, 1999 was always a favorite.
dionaea house is interesting, house of leaves is similar
