Posts should be related to UK-centric politics, and should be either a link to a reputable news source for news, or a text post on this community.

Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.

If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread. (These things should be publicly discussed)

Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.

Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.

His first day as PM as he sat down at the table in no 10 and gave his speech, he said these words:

"What can we do just to take that little bit of pressure off people's shoulders just to give them that little extra sense that help is coming, so that they can have that bit of hope that things are getting better"

I've emphasised some words in there as his words are indicating that the goal is to give the public something small. I read that as not solving the problems, but just giving us peasants a slither of hope.

I don't know or care what a 'vibe shift' might entail but willing to bet it's the continuity-starmer, just-a-little-bit, lets not upset the status quo soft soap stance that goes: this situation requires soft liberal tinkering round the edges of the giant money hoover positioned above the working class. Do not disrupt the hoover. Please god lets not anger the hoover
