The US state department has launched a plan to “disable” and “dismantle” the International Criminal Court (ICC), which includes pressuring other countries to join in and threatening to cut US assistance for those that don’t.

Dismantling the systems of accountability seems to be a theme with Trump and his kind.

This was a long time coming. The US has been heavily against the ICC since before it was even created. It was one of the few countries that voted against its establishment, and right away pressured its 'allies' to ignore the ICC's rulings and arrest warrants.

If genocidal countries threatening to absolve themselves of crimes doesn't show other countries there's even more need for ICC then i don't know what will.
