Slop. Real rowers weren't set up to spin the ship in circles.
But if you alternate rowing left and right, that's how you go in a straight line.
The correct method has everyone pulling in the same direction like in this schema:
If they all pull, then the oars move through the water to the left, thereby propelling the ship to the right.
In contrast, in the post, everyone pulling exerts a force that is counter clockwise around the vertical axis of the ship.
[Edit: I deleted my question that I posted here a few minutes ago after realizing it was a stupid question because I figured out the answer to my question 🤭]
Wouldn't that arrangement of rowers just spin the boat around in circles? Or is that intentional..
If it is supposed to show how a large corporation works, then it is pretty accurate
