Many monkeys do that, they only share with closely related ones. Lots of other kinds of animals do it too.

That's not at all the analogy being made here. The bananas being hoarded in a fair analogy would be a banana mountain reaching above the clouds. I don't think family units within larger ape communities is what is being discussed here. Stay focused.
