Watched this news feature on a Somali woman smuggled past Sudan Into Libya to arrive by dingy to some European coast. The people smugglers had another idea, kidnap her and demand a ransom from her mother. The last her mother sees is her daughter getting beat by sticks on a video. She doesn’t know if her daughter is alive or dead.

Immediately thought of Hilldog saying about Gaddafi “we came, we saw, he died”. Cackling like a witch. Or more importantly the need for nations to develop their own independent and strong socialist economies after years of USAID dependence.

When somebody criticises the USSR, PROC etc on some exaggerated death toll. Remember just how brutal and unfair life gets outside the imperial core.

What would happen if capital succeeded in smashing the Republic of Soviets? There would set in an era of the blackest reaction in all the capitalist and colonial countries, the working class and the oppressed peoples would be seized by the throat, the positions of international communism would be lost.
