That's a wolf. What's "Crown Land"?
That is not a wolf, it’s a coyote.
I like the consistency of the stances used for the reference images. Helps provide useful contrast.
What really struck me was the reddish nose markings too. OP’s image looked like a coyote to me.
I've no real familiarity with taxonomy and am still unclear on whether this animal I recently spotted was a fox or coyote.

(I know the photo isn't good, it was taken at a distance while they were moving around, but I recommend you try not to miss the cub in the background!)
Looks like a foxote to me
It's a cox
Oooh easy mistake my bad !
An easy mistake, it just depends on which one was the mom and which one was the dad
It definetly was your mom
Reminds me of Bat-yote, the crime fighter: https://youtube.com/watch?v=ulIOrQasR18
(I didn't time stamp, because the whole video is awesome)
Your assistance is appreciated.
Especially in Canada, there's going to be a large degree of hybridization. Coyotes have apparently also been shown to become more wolf-like (i.e., larger) in territories they have moved into since wolves were extirpated.
Crown land is land owned by the government of a commonwealth country. In Canada, federally owned and provincially owned land is referred to as crown land.
Owned by the king, not the government. Well, I suppose the king is the government, just not the part that does all the other government stuff
Nah, it's owned by the government. It's the government that decides whether they want to sell the land and it's the government that gets the money if they do so. Don't know how that could be defined as "owned by the King".
I guess people like to write articles that get shared on Facebook about the King owning 6 billion acres of land around the world or whatever, but the King doesn't actually own the land in any reasonable understanding of the concept of ownership.
