Some might recall my past post on find a brother laser printer in a dumpster, which simply worked. Again, I found a 2nd Brother laser printer. This time on a curb among other dumped things (“Dumpster” used in the topic for dramatic click-bait effect… shame “brother” lowercases their brand name 😀).

So this is just to stress that people are dumping laser printers not because they fail but apparently just ridding themselves of analog things.

I suspect dumped inkjet printers are often broken, but many are MFDs. The printer is broken but I find that the scanning function always works. So in the end, you may never need to buy a printer or scanner in Brussels. Just dumpster dive. Don’t buy an LCD screen either. I think 1 out of 6 or so LCDs I have taken from curbs have no problems. So unless there is visible obvious damage, don’t assume stuff is broken.

I would have read it if you'd used an honest title. There was no reason for this.

I'd like to find a working laser printer, I want one every once in a while, and driving somewhere to use one is inconvenient. Samsung stopped making toner cartridges for the old one I had, so it became useless. No, not available third party either.

Well my previous salvaged brother really was in a dumpster, not on the curb. Bizarre that this makes much difference for you. Nonetheless, I am not convinced you are honest about not reading the post as you ramble on about laser printers -- not that it matters.

Is it bad when a giant organization resorts to click-bait, but fine for individuals users?

My opinion: it's not cute or funny, it's annoying and dishonest.

Unfortunately I cannot advise you on how you can get a sense of humor. There are actually classes on how to do stand-up comedy (funnily enough), but that only covers delivery. Maybe try getting out of the house and hanging out with people more. Sorry can’t help you. Maybe a friend can help get that stick out of your ass.

Yes, normal people respond like this ⬆️ lol

I don't think you can advise anyone about humor...
