Breeds, tips and tricks about training and behaviour, news affecting dog owners, canine photography, dog-related art and any questions related to dog ownership.

A few years ago, my cat was limping. I took him to the vet, and he was not limping, walked normally. They checked him out and he let them touch his paw and everything. Took him back home and he was limping again after like 10 minutes. Back to the vet, no limping. Home... limping.

So I start hysterically crying that something is wrong and I'm so scared and I was ugly crying jbti his fur. He stopped limping after that.

I guess he wanted kisses and attention and then realized it was freaking me out? He's been to checkups since, no problems.

Turkish angora. I didn't know when I got him at a shelter. He was super scraggly and sickly. I brought him home and took him straight to the vet. He had ringworm really badly with huge patches of his fur missing and a bad mrsa infection in his paw (which is why I was crying so much, I thought it had come back years later). Once he got better and fed, he really bloomed into a beautiful young man.

My dog always leaves the vet more charged-up than when he came in, but I attribute it to the trad+gaba.

I'm so opposite of this. Cats, while dramatic, are tanks. Dogs just wag and act normal until it's too late.

My cat got a urinary blockage once and forced his way into the box spring of the mattress.

He fought hard to get him out, had to cut open the box spring with a knife to get him to the vet.

He's fine now, but cats are wild

My dogs sit by me in the waiting room, get checked up on, then are absolutely fucking pumped that it's over and they did so good. I don't even have to tell them, they know and just run with it.

I pulled a near 30 cm length of paper from my dogs backend, twice, that fucking idiot will eat anything she lays her eyes on, I call her old Iron guts, she's a pug X Frenchie, so you know she hurled abuse at me while I was pulling that shit paper out, like it was my fault she's a fuckwit who eats everything.

I wholeheartedly love her with every atom in my body, but damn bitch, stop eating every fucking thing you see.

reminder for everyone to be wary of pulling things out of your dog's butt, as it might extend quite a bit farther inside and you don't want to cut up their bowel by pulling something that isn't in a straight line into a straight line

I literally had a beagle that ate a penny I dropped. That cost me a pretty penny.

No jokes she really did eat a penny. The vet gave her subcutaneous fluids and I thought it was going to require surgery but she just vomited it up after a day.
