Both oppressive theocracy and oppressive imperialism coexist and are ending and destroying lives in Iran. Really, a horrible moment and I cannot fathom what people have gone through, there.

The reason there is a western journalist looking to tell this particular story to a western audience is to support oppressive imperialism by making the only entity effectively resisting us in Iran imperfect victims. This is no different than zionists talking about LGBT+ rights in Gaza.
