The annoying thing is that they would have been able to fit it in it they'd started closer to the edge.

Something that's wild to me is just how much everyone 'accepts' ads everywhere but also will literally pay to not see ads. It's even more wild to me how much door-to-door salesmen and cold callers see absolutely nothing wrong with what they're doing. Like, not even the inconvenience registers with them. I get that not everyone is super into moral philosophy or whatever, but what the fuck?

Are door to door salesmen still a thing?

I think about 10 years ago, one of those electric bill scammers came to my door. And they were pretending to be from the power company. So that’s not even a possibly legit thing.

Sure. It depends on where you live.

Where I live I only get HelloFresh at my door.

I get at least one a week. I stopped answering the door a long time ago. I just look to see who it is on my doorbell camera

Don't need philosophy to not be a chump, but...yeah absolutely.

The more people say it here and there, and not at fever pitch, the more the whole thing weakens.

Eventually enough kids say "but why tho" and then it's on the adults to double down making everything stupid again, or it changes.

I've always thought if I had a company I'd get a commercial that was just absolutely silent with the message "this moment of quiet brought to you by x"

Just silence.
